The Caspian Shipping Company (CSC) does not intend to increase tariffs for cargo delivery by own vessels functioning in the Caspian Sea, the CSC told Trend. At present the cargo delivery tariffs in the Caspian is determined by the market. Therefore, rise of tariffs can negatively affect on the volume of deliveries, the same source said.

It might make the cargo deliverers to use the services of other Caspian states holding private navies, including Russia, Iran and Kazakhstan.

Besides, the CSC does not carry out cargo and passenger transportation in the internal market of Azerbaijan and increase of prices of some oil products in the country do not affect on the cist of deliveries.

Today the CSC is the leader cargo transportation in the Caspian. In 2005 the CSC delivered 12,670 million tons of different cargo, which is 477,000 tons more than 2004. 9,803 million tons of the total cargo was delivered by the tankers of the CSC navy.
