By ENI data Azerbaijan is among 20 world states on largest oil reserves

Рђzerbaijan is among 20 countries of the world on the largest oil reserves. The statistical bulletin of the Italian ENI concern reports, Azerbaijan in this list takes the 18-th place with the oil reserves of 7 billion barrels, Trend reports.

The document indicates Oman (5,506 billion barrels) and Angola (5,412 billion barrels) are behind Azerbaijan. By the ENI data, appraisals of the Azerbaijan oil reserves grew almost by 6 times since 1993, when they constituted 1,2 billion barrels. The first country in the ENI list is the Saudi Arabia with the reserves of almost 262 billion barrels of oil.

By the ENI data Azerbaijan is on the second place by the oil reserves among the Central Asian states after Kazakhstan, which reserves are estimated as 9 billion barrels. The reserves of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Kirgizistan are assessed as 0,594 billion barrels, 0,546 billion barrels and 0,40 billion barrels respectively.
