The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) completed drilling of the deepest high- flow-rate well drilled by SOCAR independently. The well has been drilled on the 8 March field, SOCAR told Trend. The wells depth is 5 768 meters.
The wells design depth was some 850 meters. Such depths have not yet been developed by SOCAR. The well is supposed to produce about 500,000 cubic meters gas daily.
The SOCAR specialists performed well logging there, after which the decision to discontinue drilling has been taken.
