Finnish Wartsila, the contractor general on the construction of the module stations in Azerbaijan, completed a complex of measures related to setting and testing of devices and aggregates of the first module power station, built in the Astara region, Trend reports referring to the news release spread by Azerenerji JSC.
The Company also supposes to construct 4 power stations in Shaki, Nakhchivam, Khachmaz and Baku that will increase the capacity of the national energy system by around 450-460MW. Fuel consumption at module stations comprises approximately 270 grams of standard fuel. Efficiency of plant comprises around 46%. It does not drop over the operation period.
According to Marlen Asgarov, the vice-President of Azerenerji, the work was completed ahead of schedule. The Company carried out great deal of multidimensional work with participation of 400 people in this regard.
According to Jorma Makey, the manager of Wartsila, the first project of the Company was successfully implemented. The great part in this project is belonged to Azerbaijani orders and partners. At present the Company focuses on contraction of the 2nd module power station in Shaki. He noted that Azerbaijan attached great attention to electricity energy. The decision on application of module power station in the country, the priorities of which is mobility and ecological safety, is positive and very profitable step.
According to Tatu Dunder, the expert of Swiss-Sweden ABB, the Astata module station is the first station in the world, built over such short term (the construction started in September 2005). Besides, it does not yield to any other station on quality. AР'Р' Company in cooperation with Azerbaijani AZENCO constructed 110KV substation in Astara.
