РђIOC reduced oil export from Azerbaijan as compared to December

The Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC), developing the Azeri-Chirag-Gyuneshli (ACG) field exported in January 2006 totally about 1 million 292,700 tons of oil, which is for 117,000 tons less of 2005.

In January 599,000 tons of Azeri Light oil has been exported through Baku-Supsa (western route) in January, 339,700 tons of crude through Baku-Novorossiysk pipeline (northern route), AIOC told Trend . 354.000 tons of oil has been shipped in the Georgian direction, the port of Batumi in January 2006.

626,600 tons was pumped through the western route in December 2005, through the northern route- 344,000 tons, through Baku-Batumi- 446,000 tons.

The main reason for the oil export decrease in January is the temporary suspension for 6-7 days of crude production on the central part of the Azeri field.
