SOCAR increases own oil production

In January oil and gas production units (OGPU) of the Azneft Production Association (PA) produced 329, 955,000 cu m of gas, or 1.2% more as compared 2005, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) told Trend .

The largest amount of gas was produced by 28 May OGPU, developing the Guneshli field. In January the figure comprised 207,636,000 cu m of gas, 5.1% more as compared 2005.

The least gas production was observed on the Muradkhanly field. In January the figure made up 50,000 cu m, or equal to the forecast and the indicator of 2005.

The largest production lag was registered at Bulla-Daniz OGPU, which produced 832,000 cu m of gas, or 62.4% less as compared 2005. SOCAR intend to increase of gas production at the expense of collection of low pressure gas and drilling of new wells.
