Revenues amounting to $780 million are expected in 2006 in the State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAR) from the profit oil sale, the SOFAR executive director Samir Sharifov told journalists, Trend reports.
According to him, receiving funds for marketing of 19 million barrels of the profit oil is forecasted during the year. В"To be more exact, 21 million barrels will be obtained however, part of them will be used for filling up the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline. And from the other part, in 2002, during the BTC authorizing, the government of Azerbaijan had to secure guarantees to creditors. 2 million barrels of crude oil are making up the state guarantees. The oil will be delivered to three companies - BP, Statoil and UnocalВ", he said.
Taking this into account the SOFAR revenues are expected at the level of $780 million.
