The first power generating unit of the Nakhchivan gas turbine electric power station will be commissioned shortly, the Azerenrji Joint Stock Company (JSC) press service told Trend. The Swiss Alstom is performing now test and pre- operational measures.
Alstom supplied equipment while reconstructing electric power station in Nakhchivan. It has been applied for up-dating of Baku thermoelectric power station and constructing the steam and gas plant at the Shimal electric power station.
The second energy block of the gas turbine electric power station in Nakhchivan will be connected in March. Mounting of the equipment is currently going on. Four power generating units will be connected to the network till May.
The launch of the station will enable to get additional 40 РњWt of energy.
