Russia desires to participate in construction of module power stations in Azerbaijan

Russia expressed desire to participate in the construction of module power stations at the territory of Azerbaijan during the meeting of the management of Azerenerji JSC and RAO EES, Trend reports quoting Marlen Asgarov, the Vice-President of Azerenerji.

According to Asgarov, the sides achieved an agreement on start of development of the feasibility of the project on expansion of power exchange between Azerbaijan and Russia. In particular, second electricity transmission line Darband-Yashma is supposed to be constructed, he added.

Then the document will be discussed at the trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Russian and Iranian power engineers in the framework of the project on synchronization of power systems.

Asgarov noted that Azerbaijan was currently working on increase of power exchange with Iran. Similar work will start with Russia soon. As a result of negotiations with the Russian delegation the sides undersigned a memo on parallel work of the power systems of the countries.
