Construction of pipelines under Phase 2 to complete in 2Q

The construction of the pipeline under Phase 2 of Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) will be complete in the second quarter of 2006, Bruce Luberski, BP Vice President on ACG, stated a briefing on 17 March, Trend reports.

The installation of bedplates for drilling platforms with dwelling quarters under the Deepwater Gunahsli field will be carried out in the second quarter of 2006. Moreover, the detail engineering for production and gas compression platforms under Phase 3 will be complete, he said.

In the 4th quarter it is planned to conclude start-adjusting work in the platform allocated for oil production in the east of Azeri field. In general 526km-subsea pipelines will be laid under the ACG project. 4.5km is left for construction under Phase 2 and 8km under Phase 3.
