Over 10,000 people employed under ACG in Azerbaijan
At present over 10,000 people are employed under the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields in Azerbaijan, 80% of which are Azerbaijani nationalities, officials of BP, an operator of ACG project, stated to a briefing on 17 March.
In the end of 2006 the contracts with 4,000 employees of total 8,000 will be terminated in connection with the completion of major work under some projects. The employees will be partially conducted re-qualification training in the sphere of exploitation. Another part will be recommended for the contractor and sub-contractor companies, while a definite part will be draw to future work, the BP officials said.
Part of employees along with contractor of the company will carry out work for Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
