Azerigas proposes criminal punishment for interference in work of gas meters

Azerigas JSC prepared a proposal to the Cabinet of Ministers and law-enforcement bodies for imposing of criminal punishment in regard to the citizens, who illegally interferes in work of gas meters. Besides, penalty for these acts is supposed to be increased, Trend reports quoting NAzim Samadzade, the first deputy chair of Azerbaijag JSC.

According to Samadzade, similar measures are also applied in other countries, including, the formers USSR republics. The employees of the Company have determined 114 subscribers, committed interference in work of gas meters. They all faced with administrative measures. These subscribers were deprived of gas supply till restoration of gas meters at their own expense, he stressed.

According to Samadzade, subscribers carry out such interference, not envisaged even by plant.
