The commissioning of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan main export oil pipeline has been approximately scheduled for late June 2006, Turan Moraly, the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan, told Trend.
Analyzing the current state of work I can say that official ceremony in the Turkish terminal Ceyhan will be held late this June, the diplomat underlined. the exact date of the ceremony is still to be determined.
Earlier the first oil tanker was scheduled to leave Ceyhan in May 2006, while Turkish President Ahmet Nejdet Sezer has recently stated in Tbilisi that BTC will open in June.
