PA Azneft has completed geological studies conducted in order to select the optimal production mode for the new well drilled from Guneshli-13 platform on flats of Guneshli oilfield that is developed independently by SOCAR, Trend reports with reference to the companys officials.
Daily flow rate of the well rose to 250 ton from 220 ton. The well was drilled in interval suite to the depth of 2,825 m.
The well was drilled without influencing the surrounding wells. Putting new well in operation has the purpose of compensation of decreasing volumes of production at the oilfield. It is planned to drill in total 10 wells from the new platform, from which 2 are production oil wells and 8 gas wells.
Guneshli-13 platform was put in operation in 2004 upon resolving proprietary problems with Russia. Parts of this platform had been stored in Astrakhan since early 1990s.
