As of preliminary estimations, the cist of the construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) grew 30% as compared to its initial budget set as $2.95bn at the moment of sanctioning.
David Woodward, the President of the BP Azerbaijan, told a news conference on 19 April that some $600m is required for fulfilling the pipeline with the technical oil in the volume of 10 million barrels and the repayment of credits.
The estimation on the claims by contractor-companies is underway and final budget of the project will be known upon completion of the construction of the pipeline.
