Second steam-to-gas unit at DPP Severnaya is scheduled to complete in August-September 2008. Marlen Askerov, vice-president of JSC Azenerji, told Trend that the consultant is assigned to complete tender procedures in full in order to perform all operations in time.
Last week JSC Azenerji signed agreement with Tepsko and Emprima and preparation of tender offers ha already started. Japanese Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) issued a $270mln credit for the project, which is executed without Azeri Government.
Todays figures state consumption of power grows by 5-6bn kWh a year. Commissioning of power plant Severnaya-2 will provide 2006 power production.
