The State Oil Company (SOCAR) is not discussing Goshadash contract structure with BP. The current SOCAR policy is to develop all promising sites with their own finances, SOCAR` s first vice-president on geology and geophysics, Hoshbaht Yusifzadeh told Trend.
SOCAR will review possibility of developing the site independently and only afterwards will make a decision whether to start talks or not.
BP representatives have earlier expressed their interest in discussing the above mentioned project.
SOCAR` s desire in developing new sites independently comes from increasing oil incomes and participation in other projects. Previously, due to the lack of finances many projects ended up postponed or frozen.
