The Korean National Oil Company is studying materials with respect to purchase the stake of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) in the project on Inam field development. The SOCAR told Trend said that a memorandum on understanding, signed by the sides, enables the Korean company to study and state its opinion within the definite period on the further steps.
SOCAR in its turn will hear proposals by Korea and take appropriate resolution.
As of some data, the Korean national company wants acquire from the SOCAR its 20%-stake in Inam. BP, an operator of the project, holds 25%-stake, SOCAR - 50%, RD Shell 25%.
As of data by some geologists, geologic oil deposits of Inam comprise 2.2 billion manats.
