Oil&Gas Materials 4 July 2006 14:21 (UTC +04:00)

Adverse weather conditions and strong wind resulted in damage of high-voltage power lines within some distribution networks, Trend reports with reference to Azerenerji AO.

At the moment the company is performing operations to eliminate the consequences of this damage. Marlen Askerov, vice-president of Azerenerji, said power lines supplying areas and towns are not utterly damaged and in operation. The accident occurred in specific distribution networks.

The main reason for such accident was cables rupture by trees fallen by the wind. All maintenance crews of local networks have been mobilized starting July 3.

Up to the moment, power supply is fully resumed in Alibayramli, Gedabek and Sabirabad areas. Repair operations are on in Ismailli, Imishli, Salyan, Neftchala, Lankaran, Masalla and Jalilabad areas.
