Today Azerenerji AO launched a new wide-scale program on full reconstruction of power distribution inventory in networks it manages, Trend reports referring to AO press service. The process, which includes, in particular, full renewal of networking equipment and installation of counters to all consumers, started from large center of southern region, Lankaran and Astara.
The presentation and testing of the state-of-the-art technology-based equipment, counters, transformers and so was performed. In order to reliably supply consumers with power in Astara area, new module power plant was put in operation in early 2006.
Azerenerji purchased the first lot of gages and the state-of-the-art self-isolation wire technology. That technology prevents unauthorized interference with line of counter. This is an expensive stuff, but it may repay itself in short.
The similar projects will be implemented across Azerbaijan in the shortest time. Azerenerji officials say with implementation of new accounting system the power consuming level will go down. This, in turn, will lead to decrease of load on power infrastructure and remove electric energy deficiency issue form agenda.
