Azerenerji РђРћ is awaiting the completion of the next stage of construction of both powerhouse halls within the project on construction of module power plant in Khachmaz. Trend reports with reference to Azerenerjis press service, the oerpations are complete at 90%. The main stress is made on area selection and leveling and grouting.
The stage contractor is ASES of Azerbaijan, headed by construction engineer Nazim Garayev. The same company performed operations at construction of Astara and Sheki module power plants.
The power to be produced in Khachmaz will be transferred to the national power system via the adjacent 110kV station. This part of the project, as well as synchronization of plant and station, laying outgoing power lines, installation of gas pipeline, creation of cooling systems and so has been assigned to contractor, Ward of Lebanon.
110kV station has already been erected. It is only left to install transformers and test them. Wards construction subcontractors are ABB, manufacturer and supplier of equipment, and AZENCO of Azerbaijan, erector.
At the moment Khachmaz power plant construction employs over 300 people, from which 220-230 are local dwellers.
