During January-June 2006, joint ventures and operating companies developing Azerbaijans onshore fields produced 57,379mln m3 of gas, down 13.4% over year.
The biggest amount of gas produced falls for Salyan Oil Limited developing Kursanga-Garabagli contract area, which produced 20,246mln m3 of gas during the reported period, which is used both for intrinsic needs and injection for formation pressure maintenance.
The lowest production fell for Az.Ећeng-Li MMC. This company produced 85k m3 of gas during the reported period, down 50% over year.
At the moment SOCAR is purchasing gas from Anshad Petrol and Gobustan Operating Company. The latter produced 4,518mln m3 of gas during the reported period.
In June, Surakhni Oil operating company started developing the oilfield and already produced 388k m3 of gas.
