The signing of credit agreement with EBRD on reconstruction of Mingachevir Heat Power Plant may take place by the end of July, reportedly said Marlen Askerov, vice-president, Azerenerji AO.
The power blocks reconstruction operations commencement is scheduled 1Q2007. Prior to this, one should select consultant, arrange a tender and award contractor.
AzHPP, built in 1980s, is the largest power plant in Azerbaijan. It operates 8 power blocks, 300MW each, but the equipment aging resulted in output reduction. This year Azereneji and Power Machines of Russia reconstructed the fifth block.
