Azeri-Dutch company to continue geo-technical work near Atirau

AzeriFugro, the Azerbaijani-Dutch joint venture, will continue geo-technical work at the order of Agip KCO in the Kazakh section of the Caspian Sea from 1 August 2006, the company told Trend. Work will be carried out in the sea not to far from Atirau.

The company is involved in researches into engineering parameters of soil, as well as geo-technique for construction of pipeline from the island to the coast. The work will take 6 weeks to complete.

Part of the work over the project was implemented last year. The drilling of geo-technical wells was carried out with the barge belonging to Kazakhstan.
