Azerbaijan and Georgia keep discussing repayment of debts for supplied energy, said Salekh Mamedov, chief engineer, Azerenerji AO. Georgian government suggested repaying Azerbaijan debts in summer 2006, but the latter is going to receive the debt in winter, when power consumption increases, Mamedov said.

Mamedov added Georgia already had returned nearly 17mln kWh from the total debt in 32mln kWh. The rest 15mln will be returned further.

The amount of energy supplied on January 22 to 31 from Azerbaijan to Georgia (4.138mln kWh) is already returned.

The said debt at 32mln kWh formed in early 1990s.
