Azerenerji AOs black oil reserves for power plants operation are sufficient for one month, which eliminates the problem with energy production regardless of Russian gas supply suspension, said Salekh Mamedov, chief engineer, Azerenerji AO.
Mamedov said at the moment Baku heat and power plant #1, Shimal plant and Astara module plant are fully provided with gas produced in the republic.
Azeri and Alibyramli HPPs are provided with black oil and gas at 50% and 40%, respectively, he said.
The gas supplier to Azerbaijan is Gazexport of Russia that pumped 2.325bn m3 of gas in first half 2006 compared to 2.6bn in relevant period of 2005.
