BP Azerbaijan, ACG project operator, completed drilling the second well from stationary platform Central Azeri, Trend reports with reference to BP. The new production well is 4,800m deep.
In two weeks, following the well completion, its daily rate will be identified. After all that drilling operations from the platform will resume.
During the first half 2006 Р'Р produced in average 411k bbl a day from Chirag, Central Azeri and West Azeri. Forecasts for the year 2006 allow make a conclusion that through the year BP can achieve producing in average 448k bbl a day, from which 141k bbl is produced from Chirag, 226k bbl from central Azeri and 81k bbl from West Azeri.
