Within the construction of a new gas pipe between the fields of Gunashli and Neft Dashlari, the pipelaying vessel Suleyman Vazirov has demonstrated record indicator. The vessel has laid 700 meters of pipe a day, Trend reports with reference to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
SOCAR was tasked to increase the gas production in 2007 to 500 million 1 billion cubic meters. For this purpose, it is intended to drill and put into operation new wells in Gunashli field, as well as collection and transportation of gas low and middle pressure.
For this purposes, it is implied to construct a new underwater gas pipe from Gunashli to Neft Dashlari. The pipe is 22 km in depth, with 13.5 km new line.
It is expected to transport nearly 2 mln cubic meters of gas a day through the gas pipe. At the moment, 5.5 km has already been laid. All works are envisaged to be completed by August 20.
