Gazprom OJSC Likely to Interrupt Gas Export to Azerbaijan for Few Days

The Press-Service of the Gazprom branch establishment of Kaspiygazprom has told about possible interruptions in gas supply on August 22-24, as preventive maintenance works on the main lines of the gas-main pipelines of Makat-Northern Caucasus, Mozdok-Gazi-Mahammad(the line of gas export to Azerbaijan), and Kumli-Aksay will be carried out within the preventive maintenance ,Trend reports referring to Informational Agency of RIA-Dagestan.

According to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan republic (SOCAR), which is consumer of this fuel ($110,1 per 1 cubic meter of gas), the gas supplier has not informed the company about the possible forthcoming interruptions in gas supply yet, Trend reports.

Over the period January-July 2006, the Gazprom subsidiary of Gazeksport had supplied 2,67 b. cubic meters of gas to Azerbaijan. Over the analogical period of 2005 this indicator was 2,95 b. cubic meters. In July 2006 the gas supply made up 311,7 b. cubic meters of gas in comparison with 350,6 b. cubic meters being delivered in June. SOCAR is to buy some 4,5 b. cubic meters of gas from Gazeksport this year.
