The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) closed a tender on the delivery of its 80,000 tons (600,000 barrels) of profit oil, produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields from the Georgian Black Seaport of Batumi. SOCAR informed Trend that Swiss trader Glencore will ship the oil cargo from Batumi on 6 7 October.

The Batumi oil terminal is capable of handling up to 15 million tons of bulk oil cargo per year. The terminal services tankers of 30,000 - 90,000 tons deadweight on four berths, including a special buoy for the vessels of the Aframax class. At the moment the terminals tank loading capacity is about 530,000 tons, which is more than enough for the handling of current and forecasted cargoes.
