Georgia stopped returning energy debt to Azerbaijan

Georgian side temporarily stopped returning the debt to Azerbaijan for electric power due to problems in Inguri Heating Power Station, vise-president of Azerenerji JSC Marlen Askerov told Trend.

According to him, today the remaining debt is estimated at 10 million kVt electric power. They will be returned after resolving the problem with the energy capacity of Georgia.

Georgian side has returned nearly 10 mln out of the 20 mln kVt electric power. This debt has remained for the electric power delivered in 1990.

The countries have reached new agreements on the cooperation of energy departments in emergency situations.
