In January to August an operating company Salyan Oil produced 211,900 tons of oil and 27.8 million cu m of gas from the Kursangi-Garabaghly contract area, the operations manager Balakishi Bagirov told Trend.
According to Bagirov, at present average daily production from the field comprises 850-870 tons.
A contract on the field development was signed in Baku on 15 December 1998 and adopted at the Azerbaijani parliament on 16 April 1999. The operating company SOL was founded on 12 May 1999 and registered in Baku on 25 October 1999. The shareholders of the company SOCAR and Chinese company CNPC (each by 50%).
