The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) is studying opportunities for the establishment of a retail sale of oil products in Georgia, the SOCAR told Trend. The project will be implemented through SOCAR Energy Georgia.
In the first stage it is planned to establish a network of filling stations. Presently, the SOCAR is studying the Georgian legislation, as well as economic and commercial perspectives of the project.
The project was designed to enter the neighboring Georgia with own product.
