A project on the transportation of liquefied gas from Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan to Europe via the TRACECA transport corridor is being developed, Trend has been informed at TRACECA.
At the first stage it is planned to deliver gas in cisterns by ferry. Furthermore, they might consider opportunities for the establishment of a tanker fleet for the implementation of the project, the same source added.
Firstly the project will be presented in a workshop to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, on 2-3 November to train specialists on the delivery of dangerous cargo via the transport corridor TRACECA.
The successful bidder of the tender announced by the European Commission for the implementation of this project was NEA, a Dutch company, and HPTE, a German company. National Co-ordinator, representatives of the Transport Ministry, state and private carriers will represent Azerbaijan in the workshop.
