Due to the upgrade of the financial opportunities of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), it is intended to increase the volume of the exploration works next year. Firstly the SOCAR implies to hold research drillings in the prospective structure Bahar-2, the Head Geologist of SOCAR Production Unit Azneft Akif Narimanov told Trend.
According to him, this structure has a difficult system. By present, no hydrocarbon reserves have been opened in that field. We consider that there are certain hydrocarbon reserves there. Therefore, we want to realize research drilling in that field. Presently this issue is being discussed, Narimanov underlined.
The drillings in this structure are intended to commence next year. The project depth of the wells equals nearly 5800 meters.
