Due to technical reasons and work conducted for generating electric power at a platform installed on the central section of oil field Azeri, the volume of oil production has been reduced on this section of the contract area, a source in BP Azerbaijan (the operator of the project on the full-scale development of block of fields Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli (ACG) told Trend.
According to the Company, the problem with the oil production will be restored in the nearest future.
The volume of oil export from ACG remains unchanged at the expense of increasing the production on the other sections of the files, said the source in the Company.
The volume of the production on the central section of Azeri field was 263.000 barrels per day (prior to the reduction), about 150.000 barrels on the western section of the field, 70.000 on the western one, and 138.000 barrels on Chiragh field.
