Georgian Energy Minister Called Russian Media Sources Reporting Breakdown in Georgian-Azerbaijani Gas Negotiations as Disinformation

Nikoloz Gilauri, Georgia Energy Minister called Russian media sources reporting breakdown in the Georgian-Azerbaijan negotiations on gas held in Baku as disinformation, Trend Correspondent to Tbilisi reports.

During the talk with Turkish journalists, Mr. Gilauri, who is visiting Turkey with the team of Georgian delegation, categorically refuted the information spread by Russian media sources. The information spread by Russian media sources is disinformation, and it would be better if Georgian media sources would resist this provocation, he said.

According to the Georgian Minister, Georgia has already launched negotiations with the Azerbaijani party on the daily schedule on supplying country with gas, as well as on its redistribution.

Today, Some Russian media sources have reported that according to the latest data, the Baku gas negotiations brought no results.

Yesterday, Natig Aliyev, Azerbaijan Industry and Energy Minister told journalists that the negotiations were continuing, and the parties were determining a mechanism on Georgia gas payments.
