The Vice President of Azerenergy, Marlen Askerov, informed Trend that presently the demand for the electric power in Azerbaijan has importantly increased.
According to him, the volume of the demand for the electric power has increased by 400 MVt. If for the same period of last year, it equaled 3800-3900 MVt (in New Year holiday 4000 MVt), presently this indicator equals 4350 MVt. Since the beginning of the year, 21,2 bln kVt electric power has been produced in the system of Azerenergy, with 18,9 bln kVt at the expense of thermoelectric power stations.
