Increase of Prices for Benzene and Diesel Fuel in Azerbaijan Will not Affect Georgia

The Chairman of the Georgia Union of Producers, Importers and Consumers of Oil Products, Vano Mtvralashvili, informed Trend Special Correspondent that the increase of the prices for the benzene and diesel fuel in Azerbaijan will not affect Georgia.

Georgia purchases mainly 92-octane benzene and diesel fuel from Azerbaijan, which covers 55-60% of the local market. The remaining part of the oil products is brought from Europe.

According to him, the Government of Azerbaijan increased the prices for only internal market.

The prices for benzene and diesel fuel in Azerbaijan were very low. Irrespective of the increase of the prices for oil products all over the world, the prices in Azerbaijan were not raised. Today price increase in Azerbaijan will not affect Georgia, Mtvralashvili said.
