Turkey Reduced Electric Power Export to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan

Turkey has reduced the volume of its electric power export to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan, Trend Regional Correspondent reports referring to information by the State Energy Agency of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan. Recent interruptions in Iran's supplying Turkey have made it necessary for Turkey to reduce its electric power supply to the Nakhchivan Region of Azerbaijan.

As reported, due to the growth in domestic electric power needs, Turkey has reduced the volume of electric power to Nakhchivan from 60-70 РњW to 10 РњW. In addition, it was noted that due to the recent occurrences, at present short interruptions in electric power supplies has occurred in the Azerbaijani enclave, and that all the shortcomings would soon be removed at the expense of the internal capacities.

The region's internal capacities, including imported energy volume, are just 180-185 РњW.
