AIOC Announced Gas Delivery Volume to Test SCP

In December 2006, AIOC (Azerbaijan International Operating Company) produced and sent 7.3mln cu.m of gas to carry out tests in SCP (South Caucasian Export Gas Pipeline), a source in SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) informed Trend.

A total of 67.28mln cu.m of gas was sent to SCP over 8 months of 2006 (AIOC launched the gas supply in May, 2006).

With the aim to carry out commissioning tests on 21 May, 2006, the gas was injected to SCP from the Sangachal Oil Terminal. In order to carry out commissioning tests of the whole export system of Shah Deniz вЂ" SCP, some 0,1 bln cu.m of gas were needed to be injected from platform Shah Daniz to the Sangachal Terminal and then to the Georgian-Turkish border.

Associated gas produced from the block of Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli field belongs to SOCAR and is being used for these tests.
