The Geophysics and Geologic Department of the State Oil Company (SOCAR) intends to acquire 3000-channel seismic station from USA. Gumbat Valiyev, an employee of the Department said that the station is expected to be delivered to Azerbaijan in a day or two, Trend reports.
In addition, the SOCAR Department has plans to carry out drilling a test well to control over the equipment bought and being used. The drilling point and the depth of the forthcoming well have already been determined. The drilling is expected to be carried out in the near future.
During the works to be carried on the well, a metrological examination of appliances and mechanisms of geological research of wells will be carried out. It will enable to uplevel the qualification and skills of young specialists.
