The Azerbaijan Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Aliyev, said on 17 January that refusing the exportation of the oil of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) via Baku- Novorossisk pipeline testifies the termination of the natural gas import from Russia, Trend reports.
If we talk about Russian gas, it means that we have reestablished our fuel and energy balance due to increase of the mazut production. It can be achieved only at the expense of increasing oil refinery, he said.
Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) is continuing the oil exportation via this route.
