The Director General of the Production Unit Azneft of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), Shahin Ismaylov, said in 2006, that the PU drilled 148,000 meters, an increase of 28,000 meters from 2005, Trend reports.
Last year 62 new wells had been given into exploitation, which led to the production of additional 252,000 tons of oil and condensate.
In addition, 159 mln cu.m of gas been produced from four gas wells.
