Azerbaijan Industry and Energy Ministry Prepared Initial Reading of State Program on Industry Development for 2007-2012

The Azerbaijan Industry and Energy Ministry has completed the work on the preparation for the initial reading of the Draft-State Program on Development of Azerbaijan Industry in 2007-2012, a source in the Press-Service of the Ministry informed Trend.

The Program has been elaborated by the Ministry in accordance with the Presidential Decree on applying the bill вЂ" On the State Budget of Azerbaijan Republic for 2007. The State Program on Development of Industry envisages determining perspective directions in the development of the industry, reconstruction of the activity of enterprises which operates not on the full capacity due to some reasons, construction of new enterprises in accordance with the requirements, paying particular attention to the development of the industry in the regions at the expense of efficient use of the local resources, ensuring the development of the agriculture with the aim to develop the agriculture industry, creating advantageous conditions to involve investors in the region, taking all measures to guarantee the rights of the investors, solution of the issue on illegal interference to the activity of enterprises and keep on taking measures to improve the normative and legal base, as well as the increase in the export potential
which is capable to compete.

To prepare the Program at a high level, the Ministry has appealed to the corresponding central and local offices, state-run companies and concern, joint-stock enterprises, scientific, research, and projecting institutes, higher education institutes to receive interesting proposals from them. Presently, most of the proposals put forward by the above-mentioned offices and institutions have been considered and they have been reflected in the existing Draft-Program. Works on the projects are expected to be completed in the nearest future. As soon as the Program is agreed, it will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Country.
