AIOC Increases Associated Gas Deliveries for Azerbaijan from ACG Fields
BP Azerbaijan, an operator of the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields informed Trend on January 29th that Azerbaijan receives 8.2mln cu m of gas a day from the Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli fields. In accordance with an agreement, this volume will be delivered during the winter period.
Earlier, the total delivery of associated gas lifted from ACG was expected to reach 1.4bln cu m, or 4mln cu m a day, in 2007. This gas is given to Azerbaijan without any compensation for it.
State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) officials also stated that this year Azerbaijan will receive 3bln cu m of associated gas from AIOC under the ACG Full Field Development.
Some 7mln cu m of the volume received earlier is delivered from Sangachal oil terminal and 1.2mln from Oil Rocks.
Part of the associated gas produced from the platforms on Central Azeri, West Azeri and East Azerbaijan are transported via a 28 sub sea pipeline to Sangachal terminal and onwards to Azerigas. Part of the gas lifted from Chirag is pumped to compression station of SOCAR at Oil Rocks through a 16 gas pipeline.
