500,000 barrels of Azeri Light Crude, produced from bloc of fields, Azeri-Chiragh-Gunashli (ACG) per day is piped via the main export pipeline, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC). The daily oil piping volumes reach 550,000 barrels, a source in BP Azerbaijan informed Trend today.
The pipeline is presumably expected to be brought to its maximpal piping capacity вЂ" 1 mln. barrels of oil per day in March-April, 2007.
The present oil piping capaicity of the pipeline is 500,000-550,000 barrels per day due to usage of diesel fuel instead of gas expected to be produced from Azerbaijan offshore gas condensate field, Shahdaniz in the pumping stations.
According to some estimations, depending on the reservoir recovery on ACG, the maximpal oil carrying volume via BTC will be kept till 2012-2013.
