In January 2007, the State Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) sold 13,815 tons of petrol, 23,141 tons of diesel fuel, 2,485 tons of kerosene, and 4,843 tons of mazut, Trend reports citing an official announcement released by the Marketing and Economic Operations Department of SOCAR.
The largest volume of all types of oil products was sold in Baku вЂ" 7,396 tons of petrol, 12,893 tons of diesel fuel, 20,000 tons of kerosene, and 2,597 tons of mazut.
The smallest volume of petrol and diesel fuel was sold in Tovuz (zero ton). Mazut was not sold in several districts of the country in 2006 at all.
In 2006 a total of 181,581 tons of petrol, 325,655 tons of diesel fuel, 32,821 tons of kerosene and 109,347 tons of mazut were sold in the domestic market.
