In January 2007, the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery produced 1,700 tons of oil coke. They did not forecast the production of oil coke in Azerbaijan in January, Trend reports quoting State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR).
In January 2006, the volume production of this kind of oil product equaled 6,500 tons, 4,800 tons more than January 2007, (73.8%). In 2005, the Enterprise did not produce oil coke.
In 2006 the Enterprise produced 67,240 tons of oil coke.
The main consumers of oil coke produced in Azerbaijan are Russian Aluminum plants.
