The total volume of funds BP spent in Azerbaijan in 2006 reached $1 bln. 483 mln. versus the expectations at $1,5 bln, a source in BP Azerbaijan told Trend.
BP spending funds with companies with Azerbaijan capital in the country in 2006 exceeded the expectations by $21 mln. The Company spent $60 mln. (at the forecast of $59 mln.) with state-run companies, $520 mln. (at the forecast of $500 mln.), $77 mln. (at the expectation of $77 mln.) with small and medium-sized business enterprises.
BP spent funds with foreign companies based in Azerbaijan in 2006 equal $826 mln.
As per the results of 2006, the number of companies with Azerbaijan capital working together with BP reached 537. As compared with the data of the third quarter of 2006, the number of these companies increased by 52. The companies working with BP in 2006: 63 вЂ" state-run companies, 30 вЂ" joint-stock enterprises, 444 вЂ" small and medium-size business enterprises.
